- H & B Medical Solutions maintains full compliance with all state and federal guidelines for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- All employees receive a copy of our organization’s privacy practice document, which outlines how medical information is used internally.
- All staff members must adhere to our rules concerning confidentiality. Each signs a statement acknowledging the policy of likely termination in the event of any breach of confidentiality.
Safeguards in place
- Charts are stored in locked file cabinets.
- Computer records are secured from unauthorized access by a series of passwords.
- Written requests are required for the release of medical records to insurance companies and/or attorneys.
- All of our policies are reviewed and updated annually.
